Day 10: Chocks away.
(Day 9 involved Brian flying on a commercial flight from Heathrow to the USA, then back to Bangor, Maine, to be reunited with N21219 and to meet James in person for the first time.)
Here is today’s email from Brian, received at Blog HQ earlier today:
“Hi, had a long day yesterday, my flight got into Bangor in the late afternoon, I met up with James, went for a nice meal. Fish and chips, enough to feed a small family.
It’s now 0300 local, we slept in the crew lounge no problem.
The weather is looking great for our flights today, although we are struggling to get a hotel in Iqaluit. There’s some big event, all hotels are booked. Could be that we sleep in the crew room there as well. Airbnb is another possibility being explored.
I’ll get some photos to you as soon as I can.”
